New Hotel and Spa at Pinheiros Altos

A new 5-star luxury hotel and Spa is being built in the heart of Pinheiros Altos, the prestigious golf leisure resort in Quinta do Lago in the Algarve's golden triangle.

Scheduled for complexion in late 2003, the hotel will comprise 144 suites and 38 two-bedroom apartments. It will offer one indoor and two outdoor swimming pools; 4 tennis courts, two restaurants and two bars with an additional summer bar for the pool area. The Hotel, which will command the highest point within Pinheiros Altos has been designed to appeal to an internationally mobile clièntele who expect the highest levels of facilities and service, and who appreciate the natural surroundings of the Ludo Valley and the Formosa Park nature reserve which the resort is in.

Complementing the Hotel is a Spa complex, offering a wide range of treatments and therapies. Built to the highest contemporary standards, the Spa will comprise separate wet and dry treatment areas, relaxation rooms, a bar and a pool. The best of traditional and modern therapies will be available in luxury surroundings that will in themselves support the healing process.

The resort already boasts one of the leading championship courses in the region, and its new golf academy attracts professionals and keen amateurs alike. A further nine holes are planned to extend the golfing facilities.

Located 20 km from Faro International Airport and just minutes from the golf courses, leisure facilities and the Quinta shopping district, the stylish shopping mall of Quinta do Lago, it has become a firm favourite of sports and show business personalities, many of whom have second homes there.
