About Hôtel de Vigny
"Traditional and cosmopolitan" - The Hôtel de Vigny is to be found in one of the most romantic locations in the world.
History of the Hôtel de Vigny
The Hôtel de Vigny is nestled between two quiet streets near the Champs Elysées, rue Châteaubriand and rue Balzac, both great names of the romantic period in French literature.
Secret links between Hôtel de Vigny and the great romantic poet Alfred de Vigny become apparent as you step through our doors and into the magical world where Anglomania reigned and where the feeling of that time has been preserved to this day.
Alfred de Vigny lived in this area of Paris during his lifetime. The Hôtel de Vigny reflects this romantic period when the fondness for all things British was at its height in the French capital. Alfred de Vigny was a 'Man of the World'
The Hôtel de Vigny feels both very Parisian and old-school British: an ambience of intimacy and discretion pervades the building, thanks partly to British designer Nina Campbell's interiors in the 37 rooms and suites. Her talents have given our cosmopolitan guests the feeling they are coming home to their Parisian 'pied à terre'.

"A Relais & Chateaux in the heart of Paris... it's rare... no it's unique"

The Hôtel de Vigny is the soul and spirit of the Relais & Chateaux in Paris. "All mornings are alike" but none are identical especially when seeking perfection.
How can you resist the refinement of this charming exclusive hotel located just a few steps from the Champs Elysées.
It offers comfort and a quality of service to satisfy the most discerning of exclusive guests.
Enzo Iaconis, the General Manager of the Hôtel de Vigny introduces this unique palace:
"As in all prestigious places, welcoming and entertaining are an art. Each guest feels "at home".
Each one of our 37 rooms and suites has been individually designed by the famous British interior designer Nina Campbell.
Our staff are very professional and provide a luxurious service to suit the most discerning guests.
I am also proud to confirm that Hôtel de Vigny belongs to the Relais & Chateaux Association and
appears in Relais & Chateaux's prestigious guide. It is a privilege to welcome exclusive guests and it is my daily
duty to make sure that the hotel complies fully with the 5 C "regulation" which is part of the Quality Chart of the most
prestigious hotel chain in the world.
- C for Courtesy. The staff takes personal pride in welcoming the guests and satisfying their requirements
- C for Charming. As they walk in, the guests are immediately overwhelmed by the cosy atmosphere of the lobby and the fireplace.
- C for Character. Each antique item has been carefully selected in the "brocante" /antique market"
- C for Calm. Two steps away from the "busy" and noisy Champs Elysées, all the rooms overlook two quiet streets, giving an
opportunity for the guests to relax peacefully.
- C for Cuisine. The Baretto, the Hôtel de Vigny Restaurant is very popular and appreciated by business and showbiz people
who enjoy having a drink in a discreet and warm Art Deco atmosphere or tasting Chef Patrick Marteau's creative cuisine
inspired by the various seasons of the year.
"To those who ask in which category the Hôtel de Vigny belongs, I reply it's a small exclusive and charming boutique hotel
close to the Champs Elysées, the most beautiful avenue in the world, in the most beautiful city in the world for the most
glamorous guests in the world. The best way to discover this small jewel is to judge for themselves. I look forward to your
forthcoming visit"

Extract of Times Online - September 2003 - Harden's Guide
There are only 27 hotels in Great Britain and the Irish republic where satisfaction can be virtually assured, according to a
new, and unusually independent guide published today. The guide, based on reports from nearly 2.500 hotel users, awards its
top 'three Smiley' citation to hotels on which 'practically all reports were highly positive'.
There were just two in the
whole of London : the Milestone in Kensington, West London, and the Lanesborough, at Hyde Park Corner, the same as in the
tiny 'italianate village' of Portmeirion, Gwynedd - where the television serie The Prisoner was filmed - or Windermere,
Cumbria (population less than 7.000).
Still, London's pair equalled Paris (also with two, the Georges V and the Hôtel de Vigny, both in the eight arrondissement), and completely outclassed New York, where there was none.
