Luxury 5-Star London Hotel Re-opening 2009

The Berners Hotel closed its doors in January 2006 to embark on an ambitious refurbishment programme for the next 12 months.

Famous for its richly decorated ceilings in the entrance hall and restaurant from the 1830s the hotel's project promises to enhance the well known features and preserve its unique appearance for future generations to admire.

Sophisticated Dining & Accomodation

The 176 bedrooms will be larger and richly decorated to accommodate the sophisticated traveller. A new restaurant and bar concept will welcome The Berners Hotel guests as well as entertain London's culinary friends.

Improved Events Facilities

Berners' popular meeting spaces will continue to serve the small and medium sized events market in new décor and sporting all the technological facilities required by the professional.

The Berners Hotel - News Update

While the building is being emptied and walls are torn down inside to make room for more spacious accommodation, the outside changes rapidly.

Wrapped in white sheets the façade and exterior walls are vanishing behind the massive scaffolding required for the 500 workmen to get around the site. The Berners starts to resemble a castle more than a public hotel, with its entrance via the scaffold lift to the first floor or the works entrance through the basement. - Read More
