Golf in Vale do Lobo

The dazzling Algarve coast has long been shaped by golf. Today, its abundance of natural curves and woodland blend perfectly with its many golf courses.

Vale do Lobo is home to the renowned Royal and Ocean golf courses:

The Ocean Course was designed by legendary golfer Sir Henry Cotton, andthe resort boasts outstanding golfing facilities including a fitness centre, restaurant/bar and buggies.

The Ocean Course gently peaks and troughs as it runs along parallel to the Rio Formosa Nature Reserve. Players follow it down to the Atlantic coast - the 11th and 14th holes are played with spectacular views of the glittering ocean.

The Royal Course weaves through pine trees, lakes and wild flowers. Based on the original drawings of Sir Henry Cotton, this course’s famous 16th hole is a cliff-top carryover opening out onto the Praia de Vale do Lobo.

The beautifully maintained and challenging San Lorenzo course is just a ten minute drive from Vale do Lobo. Pinheiros Altos, that twists through pine trees and over island greens is also just ten minutes from the resort.
