Designed by US gοlf course architects Joseph Lee and Rocky Roquemore, the course is located within the protected Ria Formosa Nature Park and estuary, and boasts fairways that run alongside saltwater marshes, freshwater lagoons and the cooling Atlantic Ocean. It is a rarity to find a golf course in the middle of a protected nature reserve, and it makes the San Lorenzo Golf Course one of the most exciting and beautiful courses in the world.
